Housing Question.

ok 3.1 came out nov 10th making 45 days dec 25th for dormant housing to become available to buy. what time will it be ready to buy AND does the new housing open up then to?

Since this has never happened before, I do not believe anyone knows the exact timing.
I reskimmed the patch notes real quick and didn't see it. It's likely on the daily reset.

Also don't forget inactive accounts can log in for the month of December free for 4 days, so people can come back and reset thier timers during the free periods.

Your best bet is to save up, buy an existing house with an FC attached, and then rename the FC.

Christmas Eve every server is gonna be swarming with player like vultures to get any house they can manage. I expect to see the wards filled with afk players waiting to attack any plot that becomes available.

I suspect you may have to log to see any demolished homes. I could be wrong though, and yeah, I suspect a lot will be camping the housing wards.

The first free houses should be in 10 days. Got a message 4 days ago that I will loose my private house in 15 days. So it should be between the 21rd and 24th.

Some ppl are waiting for the refund of the private house to transfer and cleaned the house 2-3 days after the patch. So maybe there will come other free plots after christmas eve too. You should have enough money to pay the full price for the house (12+ million Gil without discount for a small one, 40+ million for a medium if my memory is correct).

Many players who will no doubt already own a house already, sadly. The system really needs to be reworked to be accessible to the many rather than the few - especially when player housing is the sort of feature that quite a lot of players can feel invested in.

Small is only 4mils and Medium is 35 - 40mils on Legacy Server.

Didn't brought a small one, just two medium (fc house at full price, private later for 22 mils with 30 % discount). That's why i don't know the exact price ;)
And i've got the really old prices in mind (version 2.1 - Odin prices Small 8 - 10, Medium 30 - 37.5 + 1 mil for the purchase permits).
