Dark Knight flaws that need to be addressed and fixed

Ok so here are the problems that Dark Knights have

1.First living dead is a problem for dark knights because even in easy dungeons they still die with living dead
2.Darkside does not have the visual effects(black flames) in which the advertisement promised so it was very disappointing
3.The way Dark knight feels like hes very slow and doesn’t even feel like a heavy job but Warrior feels like a awesome, heavy and, fast tank.
4.Another problem is that Dark Knight is more squishy than Paladin AND Warrior
5.From the recent update Dark Knights have become slower

I agree. The animations need work and very minor upgrades to there actions and traits. The animations and sounds need rework to "feel" like your using a greatsword.

Drk isnt squishy at all, and it didnt get slower

Still working on drk, will be 58 tonight. It took a little getting used to living dead, but now I like it more than holmgang since it doesn't have that root effect. It's still kinda hit or miss whether or not it will save you, but at least it doesn't root you into aoe. Sometimes I notice it doesn't seem like living dead does anything, but I think if you don't actually "die" it just falls off without walking dead activating?

I don't recall seeing the original effect, but it probably would've been toned down anyways, like they toned down the current effect. I don't think it's a big deal, most all games have some differences between when they are announced and actually released. Drk is still drk whether crimson or black flames.

I'm constantly running out of TP on boss fights. Maybe I have too much skill speed at this point, but war feels infinitely slower at times, like I can't build wrath or get an IB fast enough. Drk doesn't have that level of anticipation on it's abilities. Plus, I can jump every 30 sec just like drg (actually better since it doesn't have the same animation lock as jump)

Drk is super-tough most of the time. I feel like there are lot more CDs to cycle through, plus delerium and reprisal for some mitigation. Skin, wall, dance, mind, conv, foresight, awareness, blind effect, LD. And you can buff dance and mind to make them better. So, even though I've only done dungeons so far on Drk, pretty much every pull I feel invincible with all these CDs.

While Living Dead is a cool type of ability, it does suffer a bit compared to the other two "oh shit" buttons, besides Holmgang I think. Causes quite the panic on healers and it pretty hard to notice unless you have a macro going out that announces it (and loudly!). However if used right, can gain you a few extra seconds of invincibility with could be vital or downright godly in some phases. It's really all on the timing and the healers you are grouped with.

Darkside effect? Meh. Don't get me wrong, I would love a cool effect on it besides what we currently have now (or some others that were mentioned in the "Darkside hurts my eyes" thread), but as it is now is just fine. They may put the flames on something else in the future, so look forward to it.

DRK seems "slow" to me only while locked into Grit, but once you be become more accustomed to it and start feeling more comfortable, you can then drop Grit, pop Blood Weapon, and then go crazy. Speed isn't a issue there. I will agree though that some animations need some changing, like for example Soul Eater, which....shouldn't look the way it does...and it should absorb HP REGARDLESS if your in Grit or not. It should be something like Power Slash. Have you ever watched the animation for that in slow motion? Looks damn impressive, and you definitely "feel" that hit xD

All in all, DRK is in a good place right now. Are there things that can be changed? Sure. But when used correctly, is just as tanky as the other two. Hell, WARS can be squishy as well, just look at some of those posts on the Duty Finder thread, just depends on the skill level of the person behind the controls, not the job itself.

You should probably edit your thread to indicate these are problems YOU have with dark knight.
I have experienced none of these issues and/or do not see them as problems at all.

Possible PEBCAK situation.

From what I've seen some other people say in previous threads, the dark flames looked really awesome while standing still...and like absolute garbage otherwise. So if they add em back it should be after making moving with it on look better.

1.) Living Dead is underwhelming to use, and may not feel as powerful as the other 2 (Holmgang, Hallowed), But it has its uses and you will still have to use it correctly in situations where it calls for it.
2.) I think people just need to give it up. Things change all the time, and it was changed for a reason. If you don't like the current animation, turn it off.
3.) It really isn't very slow. The animations might seem "Slow", but the actual way the class is played, isn't any faster or slower than other tanks.
4.) If -You're- squishy I think you might need to fix your play style or gear. Any tank not in tank stance will get creamed, and any tank in dps accs will be low on HP. (save for war with defiance)
5.) Read #3

The devs have already answered your second point OP, they felt that the dark flames would look unnatural especially while mounted, so they changed the effect.
