Will you reroll?
I feel like with such a change it will be basically a brand new game. I am afraid of missing out on lower level content or having it feel worthless if my character is "maxed out." I am curious if others are concerned about this and what benefit there will be to staying with your current character.
I love my current character but when the servers hopefully come alive I will have out leveled most people and it's looking like the world might be a lonely place up there. Will you want to reroll at 2.0? (regardless of whether you pay in the meantime.)
What benefit do you see to keeping or rerolling your character?
There will be so many characters and linkshells that will go "dead." I wonder how SE is planning this out...maybe pre-existing characters could be moved to a server together? The population seems like it will be low during this pay period and condensing the current servers and making "fresh" worlds might be good. opinions?

Hell no, I won't reroll. My char is the shizznit!
-
nope, by the time 2.0 comes, I will have my crafting maxed out, I would not reroll unless SE made me, I would not have a problem with that, just if I had the choice, I would choose not too.
-
SE will release high level content and I have low level classes to mess with when the new low level stuff comes out. I won't re-roll my character.
-
i would think by keeping one class at zero then you would be able to do low level stuff. plus i think there will be new classes released at the time of 2.0 . but who knows
-
Well with the promise of new classes we may be able to experience the new low level content anyway.
-
I think I might make a second character at that point. While I move at turtle pace when it comes to leveling and outfitting my character, it's happening, slowly, but surely. Especially if that means persuading real world friends to give the game another go enough to buy it and play with them on even grounds.
-
I might, depends how the man cats turn out. I like playing male characters, but Elvaan are too lanky for my taste, and Hyur's heads look funky. Lala too short, and Roe are too big. Meh, we'll see.
-
Nope! I will undoubtedly still have plenty of low level classes if I want to experience new low level content. And I level crafts waaaay too slowly to ever want to start that over. -shudder-
Though by the time 2.0 comes out, there had darn well better be a barber shop or something to let us tweak our character's looks a bit. And it'd be nice if players were offered a one-time chance to change their current character to one of the new missing genders that is being added. It'd be a shame to reroll just because the gender/race combo you wanted wasn't available when you created your character back in the Dark Ages of Eorzea. xD

Nope. I'm hoping those of us who tough it out will receive "I survived the Seventh Umbral Era and all I got was this lousy t-shirt."
