Diadem with More than One Party, but Less than a full Alliance

Is it at all possible to bring a number of players greater than 8, but less than 24 all to the same instance of Diadem?

We recently tried to use Diadem to get around 12 players all involved in a group activity, but did not find a way to form any sort of partial alliance that would permit us to take such an odd number of players all to the same instance. We were able to launch two separate ships to Diadem, but we get different instances and were unable to collaborate.

If this is not possible, I would very much like for it to become possible so that I can enjoy Diadem with any number of friends, up to 24 people.

8, 16, or 24. You need full parties to make an alliance.

You don't need full parties to form an Alliance. Both party leaders must be in the same zone to form one. If a leader leaves the zone or changes jobs the alliance will break up.

My FC did a 7 man & 5 man Alliance when Diadem first came out. Only problem we had was the glitch that Kick the Leader of Party #2 out onto the front yard while the rest of us went into Diadem. Thankfully the glitch is fixed now.

Did you require 3 parties to go, or were you able to go with just two?

I would like to know as well, our FC tried to go with 2 full parties once (with the available airships for it) and got an error message that was alliance-related.

Everyone had ceruleum, so that wasn't an issue because as soon as we broke the alliance and went in 2 separate parties, everything was fine and we fortunately ended up in the same instance.

I've gone with just two parties. Didn't realize you didn't need a second full party though.

Something you need to make sure is that people aren't interacting with a retainer, chest, mammot, board, trading, etc. otherwise you get very weird odd messages. "ZZZ player doesn't meet requirements" and said player is decked out in gordian gear...

Just make sure everyone has mission ceruleum and your ships are ready to go. It should work out.

Strange. Were you able to actually *alliance* link your 2 parties before jumping in? We tried it last week, with 2 full FC Parties in the Company Workshop and it gave us some random errors when we were trying to Alliance (like we couldn't accept the Alliance invite) and then it wouldn't let us enter.

We had to decline the invite, and just enter separately.

I wish they'd fix the alliance system in there. They sure were quick to fix the drop rates/Star rank spawns...but no fix for this not so great alliance system we have. :(

Why can FFXI do it...that is 10+ years old, but this game still doesn't have a good alliance system :( Can't believe when going in and everyone is not still in the same PT/Alliance and they "separate" when goin in///

Yes, it doesn't appear like an alliance showing the extra members, but the party leaders should have confirmation boxes and messages.

says in the paych notes alliances are not a thing in diadem.. just saying
yes u can make them but u want get the alliance chat etc
