Just browsing the pdfs released today and I noticed in the battle scene that they are in 'full party' status and there are nine people in the party. There are eight names in the top left (I recounted several times as I won't rule out my own stupidity here, just to be safe). Eight players, plus Bravewind, the central character would breech the maximum currently in place.
Would it be possible to get confirmation that
a) I am going senile in my old age
b) This is concept art and not indicative of how parties will actually be post 2.0
or
c) We will be allowed to have parties >8 people strong.
Side note: Some characters there have one name only (no surname). Could we get confirmation this will be an option too? I for one look forward to more xxsephirothxx, zephiroth, Sephirofl etc.
side-side note: One character is called Boco, and I believe that was the choco's name in... FFV i think. Looking at the pic, it appears the chocobo has no rider. Is this going to be a pet (would explain the >8 man squad) or is Chocobo a new playable race? :cool:

the 9th member was our friendly neighborhood Chocobo. It has been stated that they plan to have us walk beside, fight, raise, dress and just make more interactions with our favorite FF trademarks. For example Mog Prime in 1.20

Still, the single-name thing interests me. It'd be nice to change to a single name. Along with signatures, who wouldn't want to buy an Aegis shield? -

They all have second name, I also thought it was 10 because currently you are not listed in party but in v2 you are. You can also hide your name (the tank has no name just a title). and yes the chocobos do not count, its in the PDF's for system changes.
