Choose The Next Three Jobs for 4.0

Which next three jobs would you like to see for the next expansion? I'm going with:

• DPS - Samurai
• DPS - Beastmaster
• Healer - Chemist

Noteable mentions:

• Red Mage
• Blue Mage
• Geomancer

And lastly I would absolutely appreciate it if Square-Enix would add Ranger as a non-support, full ranged DPS job crystal to the Archer class that plays with the same mobility Bard did before the Bard-Mage thing. It's main weapon would change to crossbow instead of bow. Actually, scratch that. Introduce it as a separate job that uses the crossbow as it's main weapon.

As for Red Mage, Blue Mage and Geomancer. I am not too sure which roles those jobs would play. I can see Red Mage use a mixture of physical and magical DPS with some healing involved. Blue mage would seem like a DPS with a wide variety of monster skills available to them and Geomancer would likely be a magical ranged DPS.

What I want:
Dancer - Front-Line Healer with buffs and debuffs. Uses Physical Attacks for DPS.
Puppetmaster - Physical DPS summon a pet that they can augment and upgrade with various parts.
Red Mage/ Mystic Knight/ Spellblade - DPS that mix Magic and Physical skills and can buff allies and debuff foes.

Honorable Mentions:
Samurai - Tank that focuses on weakening and countering damage.
Necromancer - Magic DPS or Healer that focus on debuffing foes and summoning multiple pets at a time.
Chemist - Healer that can turn their weapon skills into healing skills and combo with them. Single Target Burst Healing experts.

Personally I would Blue Mage to be introduced in 4.0 but Blue Mage to have 3 soul stones, A tank, DPS, and Healing so there's a mixture of choices for BLU and abilities since the current set up FFXIV makes it kinda impossible to stick to the BLU lore as far as gathering abilities from mobs since BLU abilities unlock most likely will come from Job Quests, And on a different note, i also would love 4.0 to introduce a new gathering class and crafting class since i really enjoy playing those classes

Samurai 'tank' and Dancer 'healer' for me, no dps, we need tanks and healers to make a balance. DPS queues are terrible... I thought more tank and healer classes would change that.

Same as the ones in FFX-2 - samurai dresssphere and 'songstress' dresssphere where you can sing and dance. They could use FFX-2 as a refrence.

From what I remember they said 3 jobs was too much for an expension, work and balance wise and that it wouldn't be happening in the future.

I think it was less that 3 for the xpac was too much, and more that doing Ninja in the middle of the 2.x series was very stressful. At the very least we will certainly not be getting another new class in the patch cycles.

So long as we get Red Mage by 5.0 I'm happy. As well on ques...so far DPS ques have been nice while everyone and their mother has been complaining about long tank and healer ques, so it seems they've actually done quite well with those to cause this. Part of the problem in the latter part of the 2.x cycle was that the addition of Ninja had a lot of people wanting to try out the new class/job, which cause an even bigger glut of DPS when their ques weren't quite that great already at the time.

That could be it. All I know is something along the lines of something was said somewhere at some point in time in regards to something.

regardless of when it may happen , i would love to see:

1. blu (copy paste) from ffxi
2. bst/hunter (but please copy paste pet control, ability to heal pet sufficiently and quickly(unlike lolsustain) and ability of pet to actually tank ...unlike current loltitan) ...from WOWs hunter class, they did it right ^^)

3. would enjoy rdm as well if designed properly.

To add to that: I don't remember where I heard it, but I heard that SE might not do another tank for 4.0. >o>
