Cartoony art style, hell no we won't.... well actually

I initially posted about how the Ifrit weapons did not fit in with the rest of the ffxiv decor. It looks like they are dong a stylization revamp, and after spending the past hour reading up on everything.... BRING IT! You have my full support and faith once again. So what if it's not the same game, or doesn't look the same?

Every single person I have tried to play with me has quit. That tells me that my opinion is biased (FFXIV Hopeful). At some point when the ship is sinking you need to find another ship and stop patching the old one.

Bring the new artwork, bring the crazy weapons and gear, bring my friends back to me its time to level up bitches!

If they make the game more cartoon like then i think a lot of ppl would quit they don't have to lose how the game look just make it look better.

i was actually gonna look up one of those old threads were they say ifrit weapons dont match the current game.lol, well look what happened, lol.

Change scary.

Giant change. Not so scary.

People are funny, but I do agree. I feel like the new style is closer to the Vagrant Story / Final Fantasy Tactics style I've been waiting to see emerge from Akihiko Yoshida's involvement in this project.

If it looks like the concept art, I'm on board. I think it looks great.

If it looks and feels as different as XIV was from what was promised, then I'll be pretty pissed.
Fool me once, you know?

the game is going to match the weapons ^^ again restating. As long as they are on track for a final look and feel you have my support until its released.

There is nothing in any FFXIV concept art or screen shots that has ever made me think that this game is going towards a cartoony art style. It baffles me that people can somehow think that having more stylized weapons and monsters is anywhere close to cartoony.

By all accounts, FF games prior to the PS2 era were a crap ton more cartoony than FFXIV.

I like to know is the game look going to change? because i really enjoy the look of the game right now it look very real and nice i don't want it to look ithink cartoony is the only word i can put to show what i mean,.

Please try to keep your feet on the ground with the concept art though, as it is just that right now, a concept.
