Today starting the game it asked me to select a data center and when I try to login with a character, it says it cannot locate character config data, and asks if I would like to create new data.
If I say yes, am I going to loose something?
If I try to create a new character it can find appearance data to load.
A difference today is that I logged out yesterday with the screen windowed, so I changed the configuration first before trying to log in.
Oh, I am on a pc. I backed up "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn" and logged in with an alt. I logged in with a couple of alts and it didn't say it couldn't find the data. Only my main character. After saying yes to create new config data, I logged in and I can not see anything different. FFXIV.cfg had:
LastLogin0 0
LastLogin1 0
WorldId 0
ServiceIndex 4294967295
Now it's
LastLogin0 20844663
LastLogin1 4194303
WorldId 99
ServiceIndex 0
So, there is no problem, I guess.
