Use of map link in 3.1

As most are aware by now, with 3.1 the map link red flag now shows up on our minimap as a directional indicator. Before 3.1, you could only see where it was at by having your full map open which is super annoying for me.
When gathering for extended periods or when using those red scrip favors, I have found it very useful to mark the "difficult to locate node" with the red flag...allowing me to hone in on it quicker and increasing my gathering rate.
Just passing on a helpful tip.

I use Waymarks when running Favor nodes, but I never thought to use the map link red flag. Nice idea.

Thanks. I do the same with the waymarks. I'll put the map link on one like the birch log node in the sea of clouds that is up on another separate elevated land mass. I get turned around fairly easily on that one.
