Mac Graphics Settings

There are Mac graphics settings on my iMac. For example, my three choices are,
High (Mac)
Middle (Mac)
Standard (Mac)

This is news to me, because I've been using the mac client on my macbook since the beginning and its graphics options are the same as PC (i.e., High (Desktop) Standard (Desktop), High (Laptop), Standard (Laptop)).

How do I get mac graphics options on my macbook; is there a new client? I got at least one of my clients from a direct link from tech support and not through the web.
