There are a number of other bug reports and threads on the changes to duty finder and how this has made roulette (particularly Expert) queues much longer.

This report is about another side-effect of this: it looks like the average wait time is not being correctly calculated for roulettes.

Steps to reproduce: at peak time, queue as Healer role for Expert roulette during a busy time. The average wait time will vary but is likely to be between one of the short queue time messages. However, the actual wait time is likely to be much longer. I've had a "6 minute" average wait time displayed, and given up on the queue after more than an hour.

Speculation as to cause: it looks like queueing individually for the dungeons now takes priority over roulette (which may have been intended - but as other bugs suggest may have been overdone). However, it looks like the average wait time is being calculated based on both those queuing manually and those using roulette, which means that the average wait time shown for roulette is wildly inaccurate.

Well that's how roulette has always been calculated.

It shows the average wait time for the dungeon with the lowest average wait time that's available in the roulette. Because normally roulette had no priority shift.

I don't think they'll change the formula to calculate some new average using ONLY roulette players

Yes, but that's my point: due to the change, the average displayed is no longer meaningful, so they do need to come up with some other algorithm for this.

...or change the weighting for the grouping so it gets people through the queue more efficiently. Depending on how people plan to farm eso and gear up alt's and such, this could be part of the daily routine for a LOT of people. Such people shouldn't be sitting for an hour in the DF for what is basically the primary roulette 4-6 days out of the week...while those not doing the once-a-day path get in in 5-10 minutes.
