Unable to use this ability when cooldown is over?

I get this message for a lot of abilities but mostly for my Light Stab/Heavy Slash. I keep spamming it and it eventually goes off. Might it be that the cooldown has changed but still has the old timer?

when the timers get off like that i find restarting the game fixes it

1. Log in, then wait (some users report that it gets progressively worse as they're logged in)
2. Use ability. Ability cooldown will not display correct time

For reference, I've had times where Jarring Strike II never shows a CD timer at all due to this. An LS mate said her timers were off by 15 seconds at one point.

I get this all the time, the recast timer for spells when used with profundity are the worst, I need to wait another 3+ seconds before the wierd "spell can not be used" stops showing and it actually casts.

Edit: and yes it does get progressively worse as you play, logging off then back on may fix this but this should not be how it is.

3. Notice that multishot only has 8 second timer counting donw, light shot has no timer, others are all off as well. Sometimes they're off 3 seconds.

This is very frustrating. You should be able to rely on the timers being accurate. I might understand a second or two off for lag or whatever reason, but 7 seconds delay is ridiculous.

Requires logging out the entire way, not just to character log in. Sometimes even this doesn't reset the timers.

This has been going on for quite a while and is nothing new.

Same thing happened to me. It's very frustrating and keeps throwing me off. And it's happened to me everytime I log on. for all my jobs on both my characters.
