Will Sleipnir ever fly?

any news out there about SE making Sleipnir a flying mount in the future? (now that they made Kirin a flying mount and put a new flying pony in.)

no. you saw odin flying on sleipnir before? why should we do so then.

Since Adamantoise might fly in 3.2 http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/269815-Flying-adamantoise-in-3.2

same reason they made Kirin and Magitek fly? it's has a special value to it? (Kirin..farming pony, Magitek- story mount, Odin - cash mount? lol)
Kinda surprised when they made Kirin a flying mount since it is from old content.

I really want to see Behemoth mount fly more than anything. lol

Gotta justify that we'll spent money right?

Just have it sprout a dark mist under its feet and call it a day.

They did make my $15 hair dyeable after all.

Not sure why people are hostile against people that bought the mount.
I don't even use Sleipnir anymore just thought it would be fun if it does fly. ( went from Griffin --> Witch's Broom --> Magitek for music)

Actually, Sleipnir has occasionally be described as being able to fly in Norse mythology. He could also fly in FFIX if you want a Final Fantasy example.

The don't fly because they have "special value", they fly because it makes sense. In Japanese mythology Kirin is sometimes depicted as being so benevolent that it didn't want to harm the grass by stepping on it, so it instead would "fly" by walking on a cloud or walk only on water. Of course, Kirin has never been depicted with wings (and I think it would have been cooler to see it on a cloud, like the Kinto'un from Dragon Ball), but I'll let that slide on artistic license.

It also makes sense for the Magitek to fly because it's a machine. It's entirely reasonable to expect it to be able to fly or at least be modified to fly when you already have a world full of things like Airships.

As stated, Final Fantasy features Odin riding Sleipnir running through the sky.
