I was sitting here and trying to brainstorm ways that RMT could be alleviated. One option I came up with was having a character settings option that allows you to restrict tells you can receive to people in your friends list. Another was restricting the amount of tells you can send an hour by 15 or so until you reach a certain level but I feel like this might generate complaints. What are your thoughts or suggestions on alleviating RMT? :cool:
Another way is if they made a log parser that detected duplicate tells to multiple parties... anything more than 5-6 of the same tell over a 1 minute period is definitely spamming and should be flagged. If they improved their automated bot detection with better scripts, they could detect and flag nearly all bots within a few minutes of character creation.
They did make a rule about identical tells, that's why now RMT messages have a few random characters at the end...
