Need help with unlocking scholar

Hello all,

As the title says, I need help to unlock scholar.

First off I am a lvl 60 Summoner (main), lvl 60 Black Mage (secondary) and I also leveled Conjurer to lvl 15. Google tells me that I should be able to unlock Scholar when Arcanist is lvl 30 and Conjurer is lvl 15 but somehow I cannot unlock this class/job.

I had this same issue when I was leveling Thaumaturge/Black Mage.
The quest (to unlock BLM) told me to level up Archery to lvl 15 first, after leveling Archery I couldn't unlock BLM and quick googling told me that I also needed lvl 15 Arcanist.

I asked this several times in my fc and also to some friends, everybody unlocked their jobs with only leveling 1 secondary class/job to lvl 15 and they could unlock their main job. I on the other hand, always seem to need 2 more secondary classes/jobs to unlock a main job.

Is this a bug?
Also, how do I unlock Scholar?

Did you go talk to Alka Zolka in the Marauder's guild?
I THINK it starts there. He's the quest giver after, anyway.

JK Laerune is completely right. I knew it wasn't the Arcanist guildmaster, but it is the receptionist.

To unlock Scholar you need:

- Arcanist level 30 and Conjurer level 15
- Arcanist level 30 quest must be finished.

It has been a while, but I remember someone else giving me a quest to go to Alka. Anyway, visit Alka to be sure, he is the Lalafell at the Marauders guild.
Hmmm odd you should be able to unlock the Scholar. Did you talk to the right NPC? Its the lady near the Arcanist teacher. As a Scholar I see nothing else that you must unlock, so maybe you did not spot the right NPC or your character is bugged.

PS: I also did the level 15 conjurer quest, so maybe that is also a requirement?

You guys confuse me even more, I already said on OP that I have leveled Conjurer to lvl 15, and I am a Summoner as you can see on the pictures.

PS: Just went to Marauders guild, Alka doesn't give me any quest :(

Take off your summoner soulstone?

i think you have to be Arcanist and not Summoner, try unequipping your summoner soulstone
