Bring Back City Music!
I am enjoying sampling the wide variety of tracks Uematsu has created for this game because, as with every soundtrack he's composed, the quality and depth is astounding. However, not hearing the drums of Limsa Lominsa when I login just isn't the same anymore! I appreciate that immersion with events is an important part of gameplay, however the town musics are some of the best in the game. They bring back a lot of memories of our infant days as adventurers and are synonymous with the days when Dodo's terrified us and even Puk Hatchlings posed a challenge...
I am not complaining about the tracks being played as the city soundtrack; they are wonderful, as is all of Uematsu's work. However, the ambience of being back in that magnificent city is diluted a little for me when I can't hear what is, to me, the theme of Final Fantasy XIV: Limsa Lominsa's epic city music. It brings back memories of when I first started the game and it makes me feel good and happy about still being here. :D
Unfortunately, we've heard the city music less than event music recently. :(
If possible, may we please have some kind of option in the future that allows us to disable or enable event music in cities? I know this must seem like quite a pathetic request considering the many tweaks you are planning, however running over that bridge to not hear the piano start playing just isn't the same... The content added with the events is completed within a few hours, but then we're stuck with the event music for weeks. :(

Can't wait another 4 days or afraid the enxt event will also be different?

Maybe the music will be back to normal in four days, however, it will happen again the next time they decide to do it... :(
I know it seems rather trivial, but you know, it's these little things that make this game what it is!

I completely hated the summer festival music and it stuck so much in my head that I found myself forgetting what the town music was. At least this time the music is pretty good. I get what you're saying OP, but at least this way every time the event ends you get that whole sense of nostalgia rushing back to you. If it's on all of the time eventually you will get tired of it so maybe this way it keeps it fresh and every-time inspiring that same feeling as when you started the game 1 year ago.

I agree, the Grand Company music really isn't as pleasant as the original music. Way too repetitive to spend hours in a city at once. But it's only there until foundation day is over, which should be sometime soon.

I wouldn't object to them adding music to the places currently without any like mun tuy cellars and nanawa mines etc.
