I could be wrong but wasnt 1 of the biggest selling point of Diadem that you could get gear here and spiritbind it then convert it for a chance of lv 5 materia. I got that with a bunch of pieces just to realise its not convertible.... Doesnt this kinda make Diadem useless?
You can turn in the pieces you don't want for tokens that can be exchanged for the materia.
spiritbonding for grade V materia acually if you spiritbond the crafted gear (i185 one ) not the pink gear, and the price of that gear is still very high for now, so maybe wait 1-2 weeks for the price of the mats down, and you can doing some spiritbond with the crafted gear, they actually pretty easy to make, its just some evil crafter sell them for x10 of the mats price.
