Nothing super amazing like I've been seeing on Reddit, but I finally get to replace that 190 ring.

Well damn, so it really can be 1-3 secondary stats with values of 1 - stat cap...
Meaning it can be awesome (like the ring), or absolute crap (like those boots).
That's disheartening... I know the content has only been out for 2 days, but how much RNG is "enough"?
Lets count the layers of RNG here:
1. Class
2. Slot
3. Number of secondary stats
4. Type of secondary stats
5. Values of secondary stats
5 layers of RNG... idk... that feels like its too much.
Would it be "unfair" to have the stat budget always be full?
Basically the way the stat generation algorithm would work is something like...
- You have some total budget for stats that you can fill.
- Lets say each secondary stat has the same weight (even accuracy), but different caps, say Acc and Det cap at 75% of the value of the other stats.
- When generating an item, you pick a secondary at random, and see how much of the stat budget you can deplete with it (cap the 1st stat).
- Then pick another secondary, cap it to further deplete the stat budget.
- Continue until the cap is met.
In other words an item would have 3 secondaries capped, but the 4th would be filler to drain the budget. Unless it has Acc, Det, or both, which are capped lower... The point is USE THE ENTIRE BUDGET!!!
I feel for the group that gets the right class and slot, only to see that there is literally 1 Accuracy on the item and thats it, because RNG said Fuck You.
Fun more fun of RNG, these gears should reset their stats randomly upon every daily/weekly reset ! ^^;
Got a few more pieces, they drop often enough at times and very rarely at others. Sucks when you spawn a ⋆ rank but you don't do enough damage due to everyone dying because of the chaos (There was one ⋆ rank, two V ranks, 2 IV ranks, and a lot of III ranks).
Also a decent way to make gil while grinding for gear, exchange the tokens for the best mat (pricing, demand, etc) and sell those, but don't overflood the MB with 'em. Can usually make 150-200k gil per run.
not got a pic as ps4 but my casting ring is SS +33 Crit +17 Det +17 Acc +18 pretty happy with that
Drk hands on the other hand +15 crit only >.>
