Why don't the mobs in the new dungeons drop gil?

I don't recall past dungeons not dropping gil when they first got added. What's the reasoning behind this?

Did anyone else notice this?

I did. I mentioned it to the people I was in a party with this morning. Everyone thought it was odd.

ok ok i have yet to do the new dungeons but....


plants of pockets?? where would the money come from.

I've done the same with all the DF groups I joined as well. They all thought it was odd too.


I'm honestly curious if it's a bug/oversight or an actual design decision.

Right, but that didn't stop every other dungeon mob that isn't a humanoid to drop gil

Gil comes from the chest at the end now if not from the trash mobs. Some other dungeons have started doing that, like Amdapor Keep HM.

I don't recall getting any gil from the end chest. I recall getting my daily roulette gil but nothing from the chest. I'll pay attention next time I run it.

I can confirm it comes from a chest at some point in the dungeon. It's only like 1000 or 2000 though.

SO you're screwed when you get a group that insists on skipping chests?
