As much as I like to imagine the warrior of darkness as Yoshi P and beat the snot out of em, I like the fact that they seem to act like regular adventures before actuallyattacking you.
The topic here is, Dark and light factions. I'd flip my lid if this was the answer to GC restrictions in PvP, or we can expand this idea further and maybe suggest a complete new story arc alongside the ascians....ehhhh?? :D
Edit Jan 7th: Since the Gerun Oracles thread, plenty of theories consider the threat of an evil that is approaching us. Though whether or not the WoD are an ally to fight a common evil or serve to resurrect a Dark god, who's to say their reason must be of a sinister purpose (as some players have suggested in the Gerun Oracles Thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-Gerun-Oracles).

Read the spoiler if you completed 3.1 Story, just feel like offering my opinion on what's going on with the WoD
They are the "WoL" saved by Louisoix during Dalamuds fall, Y'shtola makes a comment that reminds me of the unique perk of being from 1.0, and that's no one remembered you til near the very end of the story, when you obtained the full blessing of the light. Everyone just recognized the "WoL" but they had no image of who they were.
A key point that leads me to believing this is that according to Louisoix actions of using his magick to send us somewhere, it's like he wiped us from history, because no one remembered us, but Y'shtola stated how the Warriors of Darkness appear to have felled Primals before, but how is that possible? It's possible because in 1.0 Ifrit, Garuda and King Mog existed, if the WoD did fell Primals it was most likely the 3 from 1.0 and since it would appear these "heroes" never fully gained the blessing of light, no one remember who they are. My guess is they were potentially corrupted by Bahamut's dark aether, since we are in a plot where the Scions who went through the "forbidden" teleportation Magick have had their aether influenced so it's possible that certain adventurers who were part of Lousioix magick ended up being tainted by the darkness and rage of Bahamut. -
11-11-2015, 05:02 AMSho86yeah, I was loving the intro till the 'first' WoL vs WoD cut-scene fight was taken by somebody else entirely. Even if it was just a bunch of dodging or something, they could've made some motions that fit all our weapon type, or at worst, melee type and caster type.Quote:

I don't really think the game is well structured for a 2 faction setup and more to the point I don't think they have the resources to produce 2 different stories, particularly since the two factions are after very different outcomes.
Considering how the Ascians treat the people of Eorzea I still think they are enemies regardless. -
