Subject line says it all... It is now no longer possible to hide the pet hotbar.
Also, the "Automatically replace cross hotbar 1 with pet hotbar when mounted." actually switches the first normal hotbar to the pet hotbar whenever the pet hotbar is needed. Does not impact the cross hotbar.
I can also say that the cross hotbar 1 is not replaced when using mounts (unless you're doing beast tribe dailies or cannons in df). It also messes with the cycling through the other bars as once you mount, you're stuck with cross hotbar 1 with your abilities that are greyed out and then after hitting the toggle to cycle you are taken to cross hotbar + with mount abilities this time. Seems like a goof somewhere. I tried multiple mounts (drake, goobbue, magitek armor) and the only way to access their abilities is to hit my crossbar toggle and have Use mount hotbar active under Cross in Character Config.
When I try it with hotbar 1 (not cross), my battle abilities on hotbar 1 are overwritten by mount abilities when using the drake and others by hotbar + without toggling/cycling. When I dismount my hotbar 1 is back instantly with my battle abilities. Mount again and mount abilities are instantly back for me to use.

This is nice and I want it to work like that on my cross hotbar 1 and thought that was what "Automatically replace cross hotbar 1 with pet hotbar when mounted." was supposed to do.
If I enable use pet hotbar under cross bar settings then I can only cycle to it on my cross hotbars. It goes from Set 1 to Set + and back.
Under character config -->Cross---> Use mount hotbar and unchecking it allows for free cycling again (same with Use pet hotbar). Either one of those checked means that I can't use any other cross hotbars unless I hold my cycle button and manually select the cross hotbar. I have tried so many combinations of unchecking and checking settings, that I had to give up for now and came here looking to see if it was a bug.
Not sure if any of that makes sense (shouldn't try writing this early in the morning...), but I would like pass along my experiences with the new settings.
