Linkshell Retainer

I was surprised to learn that FFXIV does not have a guild retainer. I feel that a linkshell to have a group storage area, that is accessible to all linkshell members, is a basic MMORPG feature.

All other MMORPGs that I have played, have the ability for members of a group to have a group stash. This is because a community wallet, and storage area are a requirement for players to build a strong playing group.

Without the ability to group funds, and items together, it is impossible to build a strong loyal group that is motivated to play on a regular basis.

Please input a linkshell retainer, as this will increase the over all quality of FFXIV.

Excellent idea. For linkshells.. doubtful, but for companies this would make sense. Not just one, multiple.

I don't care how the group storage area would be formatted, either single or multiple, but some form of shared storage is very important to the life of an MMORPG.

We need a better guild system in general. Linkshell banks included. There's a lot to be desired here.

I agree Grey. FFXIV seems to have a strange unbalanced feel.

By "unbalanced" I mean that, the game play is group driven (e.g. PVE requires multiple players to band together). However, the "guild system" is structured in a way that keeps players separated, and individual.

In the current guild system it is near impossible to get any real group effort momentum. This is because the current system requires that all players must be not only online at the same time, but also in the same location in the FFXIV world.

To be online is not worth of discuss further. Its something common in the gamel. I picked up LS with same time zone.
Anyway the second thing - same location - is also no problem. People will just port there and here, when they need but ya, anima is not enough in its current state, and its when problem will appear to get party together. Anima can be wasted pretty much if you wanna play a lot on the weekend a lot, then people are not willing to join or travel because of anima. What would help again (over and over) is alternative method of fast traveling -> Chocobos in the first place, airships.

I woould also welcome system notice that ship in direction La Noscea <> Uldah is coming to the port, when it will go away, in what time it will return. And its current state - like ship is boarding passangers atm... so on. Would also help a lot.

Being in the same time zone does not mean that everyone can be online at the same time, and as mentioned above, anima use puts a stop to being in the same place whenever it's convenient.

So being in the same place, at the same time, is fairly difficult for the average player. If everyone had a group that played everyday at the same time, all the time, then there would be no purpose for a guild at all.

The purpose of guilds are to make it easier for players to support one another, in spite of time availabilities, and in game locations. That is why a guild bank system would be a great addition to FFXIV.

linkshell banks/retainers would be really nice.
