Removing of evasion from gear make "Light weight equipment" become pointless

In most games, heavy weight armor will have more def point, however light weight armor will have something add on to compete with it such as "higher evasion" or "higher speed"

However, now all piece of armor only has primary status as "DEF" and I not see any balance in them at all. Other than "can equip" and "can not equip" shouldn't there be something else that make those types of armor equal value? MRD can wear light armor also, but there is any point for him to want to wear it at all? other than lower of primary defend, I don't see anything better on it. (the bonus status also about the same for both light and heavy gear)

It also not make sense to not have lower evasion when wearing such a thick plate armor also. :/

Is this why there is no evasion on Skull eyepatch now ? or is that only because i see (black version).

They just revamped pretty much all the items. There are still a number of pieces with native evasion bonus and defense would obviously be the main reason for wearing armour in the first place.

If they dumped incredibly stat-heavy gear (and I honestly don't think they've held back much at this stage) upon us, then they would have to top that whenever they release new pieces of armour, which would give us a rather silly endgame very quickly with ridiculous numbers.
