anyone have any idea what these NPCs do?
I believe these are going to be related to the house-sharing function that's being released.
*sits in anticipation of a Miqo'te maid*
Ironically enough, I've already glamoured the gear my retainers wear as maid outfits, and role-play wise, my boyfriend set up a room in the house's basement as the 'servant quarters' for them. :p
Seriously though, I wonder if the stewards gameplay function will be how you go about changing the FC's name and stuff. But I guess we'll find out soon enough.
So far, the only use I've found is keeping our FC apkallu company.

Well they sell food items.
Don't know what else they need to do since they're just vendors.
My basement bar now has a barmaid, so I like them.
