Maybe it's something obvious I'm doing wrong (I hope) but Gegeruju will not let play against him at all. I did his three quests, but whenever I talk to him about Triple Triad he says something about being busy. I looked him up online and couldn't find any reason for him not to be accepting my request to play. What am I doing wrong here?
While the quest isn't issued by him, do you have the moogle delivery quest Dubious Dancing active? Because Gegeruju is involved in the quest, it takes him away from Triple Triad.
There may be other quests involving him too, so be sure to complete your sidequests!
Also remember that a lot of NPC players are available based on Eorzean Time.
