FFXIV not receiving keyboard/mouse input

The game will randomly stop receiving input from my keyboard and mouse.

This bug is really weird. I can still move the mouse around and the cursor will move with it but when I click nothing happens. So when I try to restart the game I have to go to my task manager and end the FFXIV process manually to get rid of the game.

It has been happening for the past few months. Does anyone have a fix?


PS: best way to replicate this is to leave the game on and sleep my computer. Turn on my PC and try to go back to FFXIV. The game will have disconnected and an error will pop up in game but I will no longer be able to click OK to exit the game but the cursor will move around. It doesnt take commands from the keyboard as well.

This happens after I wake my computer up as well as randomly throughout the day.
