ps3 to ps4 migration.

I am aware that there has been information regarding this, and i'm fairly certain I understand what is required, but I just want some clarification, as it means continuing to play FFXIV or not.

I recently got a PS4 and am now looking at now playing on this instead of my PS3. From what I understand, the free transfer service has ended and I am now required to pay for my switch. What I need clarification on is what do I need to purchase. I'm coming from ARR/Heavenward CE on PS3 to PS4. I'm assuming that I don't need to purchase the CE for PS4, but am I required to purchase ARR & Heavenward for PS4? I mean it would make sense, but I'm not going to pay another 60$ to play on my PS4 now. If it was just the 20$ or so to get ARR onto my PS4 I would think about it, or a 20$ licence fee or something. But if it is a new purchase of the game, then I'm done with FFXIV.

Na you don't need to purchase a new PS4 copy of the game, I did mine when it was free and all it did was changed my license settings from PS3 to PS4. So I think you just need to pay the upgrade fee and that will be it. Not sure if you still need to purchases the HW as well, i'd imagine not but can't give a clear answer about the exspa.

To play on the PS4 since the free upgrade period is over you will have to rebuy FFXIV and HW to play on PS4. Unless you can find it on sale you will have to pay the full price, other then that there is no upgrade fee.

I was hoping something like what you said would be available. Unfortunately, Lexia is correct. I just confirmed via Square Live chat and as I mentioned before is cause for me to leave FFXIV. Thank you both for your responses and GL on 14.
