Sick of tanking.

What is wrong with people in this game.

I find this happens more often than not when I'm tanking than any other job. Especially in content like Alex regular in the DF.

The other tank will be screwing up and I'll call him out. He will wipe the whole party and it seems like everybody in the party will turn on me, because I'm the only other person who knows what this idiot is doing wrong. In turn the entire party always turns on me and kicks me because I called out the guy for being an idiot?!

Latest example.

Was running A4. I said I would MT. Started placing waymarks and marking party members. Before I can even drop the first marker this other guy just runs in and pulls the thing without even doing a ready check. Of course, we wipe. I call him on it and all of a sudden the entire party turns on me?! Even though the other tank is the idiot that caused everybody to wipe!

Needless to say, 3 pulls later, he was fighting me for aggro and provoking off of me. I made a fuss about it and as usual, the party kicks me and tells me that IM THE ONE being an asshat.

What the fuck? I initiate a vote kick to kick the tank who is causing the wipe and being rude and it doesn't ever pass.

The community in this game is worse than Runescape... thats pathetic.

yeah I would kick you too for placing those ugly markers...but seriously they wre most likely all from the same FC or you were acting really rude and being an eltist ass.

Perhaps it's your attitude that is the problem? I can understand your frustration to some extent but if you were communicating in the same way to your group as you are in your post then I can see where they're coming from.

Sometimes an elitist ass is exactly what a party needs to get the clear.

I can only imagine that your way of calling out the tank is being perceived as rude if this happens every time. No one likes douchey shenanigans!!

...That or you're just extremely unlucky with terrible pre-made groups.

It's hard to judge the situation like this because we only hear it from 1 side. But seriously, don't quit tanking because of things like this, we need more tanks out there to speed up dpses queues :)

My question for you is how are you calling out these other tanks? If you've been kicked from several parties for calling out bad co-tanks, the problem likely lies with you. How you word your response to bad players can make a world of difference when you're trying to get the rest of the party to side with you.

If you're actively calling the other tank an idiot, that may be the problem. Nobody likes to see name calling, regardless of circumstances.

I said "Yeah good job waiting for me to mark and not casting that ready check" If thats rude than I must be living in the wrong universe.

I was followed up with "Gitgud" "You were ready when you hit the accept duty button" "Scrub" "Go OT"

Which was followed by me telling the other tank and other party members to go fuck themselves for what they had said to me.

Followed by 3 more attempts of the other tank provoking off of me.

Playing this game is just getting unbearable though. I love the gameplay, the art, the story but its getting to the point over the past few months more and more... I can not fucking stand the people. I have my chat turned off or minimized most of the time. I dont talk to anybody ever because I literally hate like 99% of the people in this game.
