Hi, I was wondering : how does the chain bonus work ? (the things that makes you get extra XP in dungeons when you kill many mobs fast).
I mean, how does it activate ? Do you have to kill the mobs following there letters ? Is that tied to your level ?
chain bonus was a primary 1.0 XP gain. the way it works is. only monster that are your level or higher will activate it. so if you and your friends made a party went to lvl in north Thanalan at lvl 45 killing the basilisks at 49 you would get the chain bonus. it does not activate for when you are fighting 1 level lower. it has to be same level or higher to activate. after you get it you have 70 seconds to killl your next one. after each kill there the timer lowers itself each kill to a max of 10 seconds. then it just repeats from chain one all over.

Not that it's caught on but if you could premake parties to do dungeons with the "minimum lvl" checked you'd get the chain bonus.
If you're going to be running things for XP, don't forget the FC buff(s) and food. +10% for the main FC Buff, +5% for under-50 buff, and the piddly +3% for food(plus whatever food benefits).
