I'm trying to level up my BSM so I can make proper weapons for my other higher rank DoW classes but with synths that were relatively humane pre-patch now seem to have durability loss with success that is almost as much as the Success % gain.
So I'm failing the synths almost every time.

Using Careful synthesis the durability goes down just as much as the quality gains!!!
[Obligatory question asking if your gear is not of the recommended level or higher, and of the appropriate class.]
[Condescending remark about how failing to meet the above requirements means no +craft/m. craft/control, and could account for the apparent increase in crafting difficulty.]
I am finding that 'dated' crafting items that have training requirements (which I used to have, like tailoring, hatting, etc) are now harder and fail more often. The recipe still shows the requirement but it's white as if I don't have the training... I have my suspicions that it's making it more difficult, as if the requirement were still there but now I don't have my training anymore... >>
That said, new recipes crafted with new (not 'dated') gear actually seems easier to me...
