What is everyone's current method for spirit bonding?

I'm a relatively new play and after checking the market board, I think I'd rather to do it myself. Does anyone have any tips to what I should be doing? Ah, and I meant for crafting/gathering materia.

Just grind out mats while gathering and then quick synth them. Wear the gathering body and the rest be crafting 150 gear from mog home.

The stuff you can buy from moghome "emptier of purses" i150 gear. That has a high chance of converting to T4s

Is there a certain level difference between those gear and the item gathered/crafted to spiritbond efficiently?

Hmm I would have to check further but plus or minus five levels is good. Any of the HW nodes will help you SB well. Just do it with favors or gathering needed mats. :)

I'm curious, does the higher level crafter/gatherer gear actually have a decently high rate of getting t4 materia? I recall hearing the higher level battle gear actually winds up tier TWO quite often.

The moghome crafting gear (level 55 i think) has a pretty high rate of tier iv materia conversions. From my somewhat limited experience, it seems to be greater than 50% and maybe even as high as 70%.
