DRG fighter pet
I think in 4.0 Dragoons could have a pet to fight alongside, like a summoner. Higher level dragoon could have a "invoke" action that summons a minion dragon.
It uses the "blood of the dragon" and while you maintain it up the dragon breathes fire on the enemy his master is targeting.
Story: with the end of Dragonsong war, some dragoons who had their relatives turned into dragons, can make a link with then...and call them to fight alongside.
what do you think people?

Its a very FFXI idea but with an FFXIV lore twist. Im not against it but Im also not a DRG. I liked seeing the DRGs in XI with their pets but I always wished they could evolve like a pokemon or something. If they put that in XIV I would only like it if they would allow you to evolve your Dragon kind of like your Chocobo.

All of my no. While I miss my FF11 Wyvern, I do not want it back.

DRG is already one of the top dps, Lets give it another source of damage to firmly make sure no other class can keep up.
Actually yeah, that does sound like a SE move.

Dragoon in FFXI. They had horrible DPS output, and the Dragon pet they had had very limited skills based on what your sub job was, meaning you'd have to weaken your own, and your dragon's own, damage output just to make it have a meh heal.
Dragoon, to me, wasn't handled right at all with the pets they had in XI, and I'd rather them never get to that point again.
Edit: also it's a bit funny, seeing how you're suggesting for your main class to become stronger.

Ewww... no.
Plus I don't think it's really lore friendly in XIV at this point...
I mean, they can make up whatever they want, but so much of XIV Dragoon is rooted in Ishgardian mindset of being dragon-killers.
But yah, don't need a pet, got my Chocobo. Honestly would rather see BST return before DRG gets a pet wyvern.
