Can anyone link me with an Ariyala showing the suggested melds in the HQ crafted vanilla gear across all three gathering classes in order to be able to gather the highest tier items in the game? I am about to hit 60 across all three gathering classes and going to craft up my gear, but I would like information on the most appropriate melds. Also, what is pretty much the bare minimum Gathering, Perception, and GP needed in order to gather the highest tier items? Thanks!

Well... you can get the highest tier items even with sub-optimal melds... You just can't collect 3 collectables in a single run, that's all. I guess what you should be asking, is "what kind of melds can let you use a rotation that can obtain the highest number of collectables per run"... I'd say 600-ish gathering and 650 perception. 650 perception will allow you to obtain sufficient collectability using almost any of the most popular rotations out there. As for gathering, 600-ish is already sufficient to gather items for red scrips. 645 gathering will let you one-shot reach the legendary node items, and 725 gathering will let you reach 100% success rate when you use Sharp Vision II + King's Yield II. So, it really depends on what you're trying to do.
For GP, standard minimum is 600. 630 is recommended by me, as it allows you to reach 650 when you use a cheap food... And 650 pretty much guarantees an extra Sharp Vision for collectables, making you bulletproof from failing at 95% success rate by adding that extra 5%. Having 650 base GP value is even better as you dont need to use food at all.
I'm not a fisher, but from what I heard, even when your gathering is extremely high, the highest tier of fish can still "escape" sometimes anyway... So gathering is just "the more, the better". With Red Scrips, you can eventually purchase the i180 tools by trading in Red Tokens. Those can help a lot to increase gathering.
Personally, I have been using most of the old ARR accessories, and they seem to be very sufficient. Do you have pentamelded accessories from ARR? If you don't, you will need to meld your HW accessories, but you can then meld less stats onto your left gear. If you do have pentamelded ARR accessories like me, then you will need to push a bit more on the melding of your left gear. -

OP, you will not find a website that tells you to meld this specific materia on this piece of gear. There are many different ways to get there as the current melding cap is below what is needed to gather at the highest nodes. That being said, I have found the following website page useful. In the second section, he explains non-red script gear with their max melding caps. Immediately below that, he has the unmelded caps. It's enough to be Lv.60 2-star across all crafting classes, plus a little extra so you can actually do some of the more popular and current Lv.60 2-star rotations out there. Can try something like that. Minimum reqs for folklore nodes is 600 gathering and 645 perception. If you want to tap to reveal instead of Toil, you'll need 645?ish gathering. If you want to use folklore nodes for red scrip collectibles you'll need 680-695 Perception. If you're not interested in that you can ditch the melds on the tools.
You can buy a stack of dhalmel gratin from the Ishgard grocer to get this up to 650GP. Sublimates the 95% miss rage against adamantite and chysahl a bit.
I haven't seen any gathering reqs for HW fishing and line snaps were very rare even with meldless i150 gear, so whatever. -

Sorry, but I totally disagree with that approach... You can still do 2 star with minimal stats of around 724 craftsmanship, and it requires ZERO competence and ZERO command materia on mainhand and offhands. I would only recommend CP+3 and CP+1 on mainhands and offhands.

Just use food to buff up stats to make some i170 gear, then with those gear, you can then use some of the rotations that require stronger stats. Alternatively, just trade in crafter's red scripts for an i180 mainhand. That will also immediately boost your stats for 1 class, allowing that class to make gear for other classes. This way, you won't have to pentameld 16 tools only to have 2 of them immediately getting replaced.
Concerning gathering gear, I did list out how I melded my gear for end-game gathering in Chapter 7 of my gathering guide.

You can take a quick look if you want. But I am using the old ARR accessories that are pentamelded to max.
So it comes down to whether you have ARR accessories or not. If you already have those old ones melded, you can get away with less melds. I have only done 3 melds on my hat and 4 melds on my gloves, and it's already very sufficient.
If you are renewing your accessories with HW accessories, it will depend on how many melds you do on those accessories. If you meld them to max, you can get away with less stats on the left gear. -

What I melded on body pieces and jewelry is perfectly fine for Lv.60 2-star stats minimum, which is 718 craftsmanship and 695 control by the way, not "around 724 craftsmanship". The given melds with the primary and secondary allow you to engage in and successfully complete some of the more popular Lv.60 2-star rotations out there that experienced crafters have been using and were nice enough to share with the community. If you or others are perfectly fine with just roughing it with your own rotations or other rotations that use bare minimum stats, have at it by all means :) Just make sure you did indeed hit the bare minimum (718 craftsmanship and 695 control) so you can even attempt the craft!Quote:
