Character Limit?
Hail and well met, all,
Hoping you can help me out here... I'm another newbie who just went "full version" the other day.
I'm trying to post what is apparently a near 1800 character post, and it won't let me... says 1000 is the limit.
I thought this limit was for trial accounts only... incorrect?
Or correct but the forums login hasn't caught up yet with my account status?
I guess I may have to find some logical "breaks" in my post and submit 2 or 3 back to back posts?
Thanks for your help.
Take care,

It's a limit for everyone...
to get around it, though, you can "Edit" your post and paste in the wall of text you typed up and it'll save and show to the forums.

Ah, thank you very much... that's too funny.

Welcome!
As Aska has mentioned, you can bypass the 1000-character per post restriction by simply posting a few lines, then going back and editing the rest into the post immediately after. As far as I can tell it's an attempt to try and prevent or limit spamming of the forum.
Also be aware that there are other posting restrictions on the forum as well, such as the amount of posts and threads you can make per day, the details of which can be found in this official thread.
