As a Tank, what would you want in the next raid? *Savage

For those who haven't entered Savage alot of it involves meeting heavy DPS checks so the WAR/DRK combo is a prefered but not a must choice. All Tanks can clear Savage.

But As a Tank would you want these heavy DPS checks to be in place for the next raid? May Be lowered or removed?

As a DRK I've cleared Savage 1 many times but once thing I noticed is that I don't need all my left side to be VIT to clear it, heck when the TB came around and I popped my Buffs got a Crit Adlo and SS I reduced it to 0!

Any other times it just hits me for 9k-11K give or take.

So in this aspect I like in the next raid, I don't mind about DPS checks but would love to see us needing to have a set HP amount to survive! Or just something like if we don't have enough HP as a Tank we can't clear it, so I would like it to be more on tanking rather than beining a DPS.

What do you guys hope for in the next raid? Think it should be like current savage or maybe abit more focus on our roles?


Edit: guess my main issue is the fact I like buy tank stuff since that is my role and not DPS gear.

But... But... We already have VIT caps and thresholds. 750 vit for AS1-AS2, 850 vit for AS3, and 900 vit for AS4

I wouldn't mind them beining higher for the next raid. At the moment VIT for tanks are for me aint that high whereas the DPS check is so Tanks in some ways need to equip DPS to progress and this for me defeats the point of being a Tank, sure extra DPS is great from the Tank if it equips slaying gear but really it should be about the Tank having VIT gear.

I've seen A4 Savage Cleared with the Tank just having 18K HP and I think a whole set of 210 right side can do that for you with food if I'm not mistaken?

I want something more epic than fighting stupid goblins with steampunk robots.

I don't mind the Dps checks, haven't cleared SA3 due to FC limitations(too many ppl RL issues, including myself, for a progression static currently), and Honestly, as a Warrior main I used to only use Vit right side if it had crit also prior to 3.0. What I would like to see though is more positioning mechanics for tanks, I find the whole boss in middle room, face away to be boring for most of the fights so far, Mog ex for example, having to organize a tank swap AND keeping the King/ War/Pld moogles away from others to save big damage bursts from happening. Or in Garuda, where you had to separate Chi and Sup while managing Spiny. Tank busters are fun and all, but I do prefer when fights require more movement and awareness to what is happening, especially when youre in progression and finally figure it out, it's a good feeling XD

Both of these.

I'd like to see a more engaging raid beyond damage gouging.
I do like dpsing as a tank and I think if not for that there would be little left to do in the current raid as the mechanics seem to be... Bland IMO.

None-scripted encounters.

I want more fights like AS3. Hard hitting cleaves, unforgiving mechanics, high DPS checks, rapid fire tank busters, and that omfg I just jizzed my pants upon clear.

I do not want to fight trash cans anymore, I don't want mindless AS1 tank n' spank, or 100% magical (or physical) fights that render one tank obsolete.

All that being said I do enjoy very tight DPS checks. It forces tanks (and all other classes) to play at their peaks... Which is what Savage is about. Honestly I would be pretty pissed if all the tanks were required to do was sit on tank stance and pop CDs for scripted hits... That is super boring.
