Gauss Barrel Graphics is Ugly

Loving the MCH. No problem with the mechanics of casting that comes with GB (more challenge is better imo). But the graphics of the Gauss Barrel is ugly. It ruins the look of the cool guns. They lose their individual aesthetics and all end up looking too futuristic and too front heavy. Some end up looking more like a mace than a gun. Some just look ridiculous with the barrel floating way out with no attachment.

The casting animation where he waves the gun around than holds it straight up is kind of awkward too.

I don't mind it, nore do I mind the "waving", considering dealing with blm's ice casting animation looks even worse imo. For me it's a fun little touch, I like how it spins around. The only thing I'd think it would be off putting for is the ferdinand cause that's a dual barrel gun, I haven't gotten there yet but in my head it conflicts when I think about it.

Not only is Ferdinand double barrel, it also has a sawed off aesthetic. Gb literally hangs in mid air in front of it. It's stupid and tacky and I totally agree with op.

Agree. There are so many nice looking guns in the game, but they kind of get ruined with the gauss barrel been put on. Some of them look alright, some of them look flat out bad with gauss on.

I love it on the Dreadwyrm Handgonne, makes a massive heffer of a weapon look even more over the top :D
But yeah I agree...on most guns it just looks a bit silly.
I don't mind the cast animation on its own, it's just when you're doing right after another skill (which is natural) it makes it look even more wavy and weird because your hands are desperately shifting around from the previous animation.
The main thing that bothers me isn't the barrel, but the running animation with weapon drawn...looks really silly when you'd imagine they'd hold it close to them with both hands.

Yes, I totally agree about this too. He looks like he is vacuuming the ground while running with it.

Emperor's New Gauss Barrel (Can I have it?)

If they're going to keep the current look of it, they should take the time to resize and adjust the positioning of the GB part for each gun model. It looks ridiculous on a lot of guns.

They scrapped mutliple attachments on the basis that they didn't want to design it for every gun...so they went with gauss barrel on every single gun regardless of whether it matched or not. Aesthetics aside, I felt they missed a really good opportunity to flesh out MCH's tool kit instead of copying GB over as WM.

There are so many things I could complain about MCH animations and aesthetics (specially as a FPS gamer)... but for now I will just agree with the OP.
