Are Bards/Mchs casters?
If Bards and Machinists are casters, we should have the strength of blms/smns on our actions/attacks. But if we are a dps that does dps and support things need to be adjusted/changed, like get rid of the dang cast bar and just give us enough strength on our shots and LET US BE ABLE TO ROAM AND SHOOT AT THE SAME TIME. I don't care about the people who think how they made the classes now is peachy keen because there are more people that are pissed about it than happy about it. I am just stating facts I have gathered. That is all I got to say.

Bards and Machinists are not casters.
Also no, it isn't "peachy keen" but remember, not every bard and machinist posts on this forum or Reddit or GameFAQs etc. etc.
In fact, I'd say the minority of players post in any forum.

caster support forever and ever. want it or not, it doesn't matter. it is what it is. most of us just accepted our fate.

This is true, SE made BRD MCH & BLM standing Casting DPS. The conversation on how this mechanic became what it is is listed below:
Yoshida: We promised the players new ranged DPS mechanics that would be vital. Ideas?
Underlings: What if we made standing still a game mechanic...
Yoshida: Well, how long will that take to implement?
Underlings: 5 minutes.
Thus, we now have standing DPS mechanics.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who though MCH and BRD new stupid 'skills' forces you to stand still....
I was like, damage boost ??? wow thats too good to be true.... I was right..

Technically, yes, since casters are defined as things that launch/throw things.
In most MMOs though, "caster" refers to any class/job that primarily casts spells specifically, so in this case Bards and Machinists are not considered casters.

Don't like the cast time either, but i was also fed up of seeing bards pointlessly run around while shooting, I'd settle for them to remove the cast time, keep the 30% buff but reduced damage while moving.
or
Remove cast time, give a new % (lower than 30%) damage buff, but also give them auto-attacks while letting them run around like a chicken without reducing the damage.
Perhaps they could add both of these like ninja "poisons" to give players a play style choice.
