Monk question.
I know I'm going to get heat from this but I have a question and theory. Is snap punch any good? Yes I understand it's great for keeping GL up but I feel of you have enough time why cycle snap punch when you can reset bootshine and true strike for more damage then complete a combo to maintain GL. I say this because I see my massive damage is in true strike and if I can shuffle that while maintaining GL, demolish, touch of death I get amazing dps stats. Just an idea if you can tell me something better that will always be helpful.

Well, for starters, you need to be in Opo-opo form for Bootshine to auto-crit, meaning you'd need to go Coeurl (Snap Punch) -> Opo-opo. With True Strike being 190 potency if hitting from behind, Snap Punch being 180 from flank, +10 potency would not be worth losing the auto-crit from BS as well as risking your GL stacks by letting the timer countdown further.
That's the immediate issue I can see. No doubt there's more.

That doesn't really work.
Snap Punch only has 10 less potency than True Strike first of all, so it's not like it's miles ahead... and if you go directly to Bootshine, you won't get the 100% crit from it. Even if you're lucky, you're never gonna get as much DPS that way.
Also, not only are you making it harder to keep up GL, you also have to use Snap Punch at some point anyways... If you do Demo, then skip Snap Punch, you'll have to use Snap Punch in the next rotation, otherwise you lose GL. Or you refresh your Demo way before it's about to fall off, which is gonna make your DPS go down hard and fast.

Youre gonna do way less damage without snap punch then with it. For one trying to keep up GL3 without snap punch, good luck it's honestly a bit stupid to not use it. Maybe DRG is the class for you
