I completely agree with you, but wanted to share a tip that might help:
You can give yourself a little more time to quickly AFK (e.g., bathroom break, grab a snack/drink) during the 2m prep period by intentionally DC-ing yourself instead of just remaining AFK. IIRC, the AFK timer for disconnects is 5 (might be 10, not 100% sure) minutes as opposed to 2 minutes for non-movement, so if you let your party know beforehand, you have a bit more breathing room to go do stuff and come back. You shouldn't need to worry about being kicked during the prep period if you come back within that time anyway, since they can't kick you until 5 minutes have passed.
