I got my Conjurer up to 16. I'm going to Limsa Lominsa to start my Arcanist.
Do I need to stay in Limsa Lominsa with my Arcanist or can I go to other city-states to level him. haven't seen anything about this any where.
I've been playing other race class combinations to see what I like and so far I like them all. I'll probably have more questions and I'll add them here.
You can level anywhere. You'll need to return to do your class quests, however, and your home city-state may have NPC vendors better suited to equipment for the class.
Anyways, I've frequently leveled classes in locations other than their starting one.
You'll find a bunch of new low level quests in Limsa Lominsa too so you can get your Arcanist up a few levels just by running around. But in general there's no disadvantage in levelling wherever you like.

I bought another time card so I could get a mount. I got the Ahrimin I think it's called. I used it and put it in my bar. I git a message that said you can now use the mount. When I tried it says I'm not authorized. Do I need to be a certain level, nothing was said about that it just says It's a 90 day reward, I have 120 days.
You need to get a chocobo through the main scenario quests before you can actually use other mounts in game. Sounds annoying but doesn't take TOO long, I was able to do it over the weekend on an alt.
At level 20 the main storyline will have you join a Grand Company. Once you've done that, you can take a quest ("My Little Chocobo") at your GC headquarters that unlocks access to the mount system as well as giving you a chocobo mount. You can then use any other mounts you have as well.
Don't forget your hunting log is around limsa aswell ^^
Ok, thanks guys. They weren't very clear on that it just said it's a 90 day reward. Leveling is pretty easy so not a problem.
