Possibility of a new server?

Perhaps one that cannot be transferred into? It's odd playing a new character when everyone who joins your Duty and Raids are super geared to the nines. Never really needing to worry about the dungeon being too difficult seems to really be a downer on raids for a new character.

Any mention of any of this in the works, or is game pop too low to handle something like that?

Servers that used to be new (Like my server, Jenova, which came with PS4 launch) used to have transfers into them blocked when they were new.

If/when they do release new servers, they'll likely put a block on transfers into them for a while too.

Yes, that would seem to make sense. Here's to hoping something like this happens! :D

There are still quite a few servers with very low populations (empty housing plots, weak economies, no login queues - ever - and all the other goodies) but as we see on the forums, more people prefer to go to the big famous servers and go to extreme lengths to do it. I imagine that the servers which are often locked for character creation have relatively few new players compared to more hardcore people (though levelling alts is still a thing).

However if you also don't want so many powerful people in Duty Finder it would likely have to be a new server group entirely. The weaker servers are still grouped up with others for DF and different servers advance at different paces.
