Some eso pieces are not so good.

I wish the upgrades over i190 were more clear. Sometimes I think I'll lose some dps numbers if I'll upgrade. For example:

Prototype Gordian Gambieras Of Casting
Vitality 48
Intelligence 53
Spell Speed 33
Critical Hit Rate 47

Antiquated Caller's Sandals
Vitality 54
Intelligence 57
Spell Speed 37
Accuracy 53

I don't need more Accuracy (gonna be a wasted stat) and I doubt 4 Intelligence is better than losing 47 Crits. It also gives +9 defence, but my MD is 1373 already so I don't really need it.
So what should I do in this case, buy a whole bunch of nothing useful to improve my performance for 495 eso just because it has higher ilevel?

Well, main stat is pretty powerful so it's worth running the numbers to actually see which is better. Might be an upgrade, might not be.

I ran into a similar problem as WHM. I wanted a pure spell speed build since it would be more useful to my static. Have you looked at any of the crafted gear and considered pentameld alternatives? I haven't checked to see how viable that would be, but it's certainly worth a shot. From my understanding, at least pre-HW, that's what we were supposed to be doing, anyway.

Or just keep what you have. So long as you meet the item level requirement and there's no noticeable difference in your healing/DPS output, I'd recommend focusing on whatever stats you think are best.

You can't necessarily look at gear on a piece by piece basis: Look at the entire set of gear at that ilv (in this case, 210 eso and savage gear). There's also times when having a (overall) non-optimal piece is better, depending on the rest of the gear you have.

If you're not a raider (which is what I'm guessing) then your stats ultimately don't matter and just do what you want...

If you are a raider...you should go look at the smn bis lists and decide whether you'll need that acc for savage or not

The 190 boots are a tiny bit better for damage, but you won't notice a huge difference. Non-savage players will probably be able to upgrade eso gear with 3.1 or 3.15, in which case the caller's sandals would be better than the 190. But maybe you'll be able to get pink 210 boots on the floating island stuff too that could be itemized way better than the eso ones... I dunno. I started just grabbing eso things for vanity rather than worrying about stats because the mch ones are mostly horribly itemized. :(

Secondary stats are pretty minor. You can stack all parry and do 97% of your optimal dps. 3.0 scaling seems to have bigger dr. Check out blue gartr they actually have math. These forums are all speculation and feels.

Yes, I agree. AST has some good stats, but looking at WHM and SCH, they kind of got stuck with the opposite of what WHMs and SCHs normally want.

Last I heard there aren't new stat weights for SMN yet. I've only seen em for drg and mnk so far (I'd love to see more if I'm out of date, though, since I don't main drg or mnk).

But the new stat weights for those classes hover between .1 and .16 per main stat. Assuming the lowest end of the spectrum (.10) for the sake of argument, that'd still put 47 points of crit at 4.7 int. He gains 4 points of spell speed from the i200 piece, though. Assuming a high stat weight for sspd (.15, again for the sake of argument), that'd account for .6 int, but the net int change would still be positive by .1. So in a vacuum (and assuming the stat weights favor the i200 piece more so than they probably do) the i190 boots would be marginally better.

@OP if you can lose the accuracy elsewhere, then that'd be ideal. Mix and match some stuff with ariyala for a bit.

AF2 body for ninja has accuracy and skillspeed on it.

I want critical and determination. even if I need more accuracy in some fights, I'll just switch my accessories for it.

Stat weights changed with 3.0. What are the diminishing returns in that link? You can't compare 2.0 and 3.0 crit because it's weighted differently now.
