Tho not at first.

With my wife as copilot, we did a little 2-Star crafting.
Crafted Astral Birch Lumber, had 6 of 11 Hasty Touches fail, got NQ. Sighed heavily.
Crafted another ABL, had some fails, 82% chance at the end, got HQ. Yay!

Crafted the Fortified Claw Hammer, taking no chances: HQ everything except the FC Demimateria III.
Hit on both Rapid Synths ... a sigh of relief.
Hit on the two Hasty Touches after ... OK, that's good.
Going into the Waste Not II, hit the first 3 HT ... and the next four after the Rebuff!

11 stacks of Inner Quiet and I still had a Hasty Touch left to do ... :)

Skipped right to the end, GS-BB for 100% Quality and finished with CarefulSynthII. We were very happy!

Then, melded in +4CP and went to overmeld in +6 Craftsmanship ... 29% chance -- got it on the first try!

"It was meant to be." intones my wife.

There were no usable G/E conditions in the final craft. But that's OK!

Yaaa hasty touch ,i don't like .

er, mostof the time I have 5stacks before attempting a hasty touch, I am generally content after 2 rapids go off.. I am one of those crazy people that USUALLY (depending on job) uses MAMA, CZ IQ SH and wait . if i get a good precise, another, depends on if i TOT'd at first.. an excellent YES. I almost ALwAYS arrive at 400 progress which means with with weaver Ing II and rapid do 410 each about thus 1230ISH.

after i MM II , I decide what to do,sometimes waste not is involved and sometimes it's not.

I'm jealous. Maybe someday I'll have stats that allow me that luxury.
Until then, tho, I get ... drama!

I just use the procs iam givin, if i get an excellent when I need 2 rapids I am not wasting it, PRECISE ..........

RNG is such BS... I blew up so many CP+4 materia on a 29% meld it's not even funny.... (it took me 15 to get it...) T_T
