Sipahi Set

What do you guys think? It seems like a pretty amazing Pugilist set to me. No idea where it drops from though, probably Coffers in one of the Strongholds if I had to guess.

Sipahi Shirt
Sipahi Gloves
Sipahi Sarouel
Sipahi Crakows

Sets are useless (you cant put Materia into them), just let these item rot or get them for the looks. I hope they fix this with the next patch.

Well let's compare the Sipahi Shirt to the Raptorskin Harness (Blue).

I don't know about you but I'd take the Evasion and Magic Evasion over Mind and Accuracy any day for Pugilist. Even with Materia you'd have to risk a lot to get it up to the same level.

You'd have to put a Manaflight IV and a Bloodflight IV on there to bring it up to par with the Sipahi Shirt's bonuses. I haven't seen the success rates of attaching multiple materia yet but I've heard it's pretty harsh.

No alone with the Bloodflight Materia you would have a much better gear than the Sipahi body.

Er... why try to make a Raptorskin Harness (Blue) on par with Siphani Shirt defensively? Wouldn't it make sense to keep get the Shirt for the situations where you might actually take magical damage, and meld the Harness into a more offensive piece overall? That's how I planned on doing it anyway. It's not like we don't have the inventory space to support it now.

well at least the head piece looks better than a few for dd classes and it has enmitty minus stat

For most of the pieces I think they are pretty damn good.The crakows are pretty comparable to the bladedancer's jackboots imo, and I feel the black raptorkin subligar is just better than the sarouel. The body is one I could see going both ways depending on what you need it for, but man the headpiece and the gloves are very nice. ESPECIALLY the head, i'm looking at a raptorskin pot helm as one of the better pieces at 50 and....uhm yeah, it looks just plain awful when you equip it (maybe that fire resist is nice on ifrit though) and I LOVE the ul'dah turban design that covers part of your face that the sipahi turban sports, and the stats are really nice. Now we just need to figure out where these drop at.

Ls member has the Turban and they said they got it from stronghold. The head peice would also be the only part I'd be interested in for group DPS activities. The rest would be good mostly for Solo/swapping out better materia gear at low % if you can't repair and don't want to go bk to town.

I'm shock nobody mention this funny fact. But that's same exact armor NPC PGL has in opening cut scene for Grindnia!
