Freeze on teleporting into Idyllshire (DirectX 11)

Frequently my game will freeze on a loading screen when teleporting into Idyllshire. I've let it run there for up to 10 minutes, but it does not load. The only way I'm able to definitely Disabling Direct X11 seems to fix the problem.. This freeze only happens when teleporting to the Aetheryte, and on subsequent attempts to load my game. Zoning into Idyllshire from any other point, or loading my game at any other point in Idylshire does not result in a freeze. My system specs are an FX 8320, an R9 270x, and 8gb of Ram. I have encountered no other problems running Direct X11 anywhere else in the game.

Still dealing with this problem. I've even tried it out immediately post-maintenance when the zone is basically empty.

I have been having the same issues ever since 3.0 launched, and it's not just Idyllshire (though this zone is the most problematic). Foundation, Tailfeather and Cloudtop will also cause the dx11 client to freeze up (and occasionally entering the Void Ark raid). Process Explorer shows the game hovering at 12.5% CPU usage, but it's not actually doing anything, and I have to manually kill the process and restart the game (which has me rolling the dice, because it can still freeze back up until the teleport is finished and the zone loads fully). This has happened under both Win 7 Professional, and Win 10. Drivers all up to date, specs: FX 8150 CPU, GTX 970 GPU, 16 GB RAM. Dx9 client has no issues (other than not looking quite as nice).

I've been having this same issue with the DirectX 11 client for months as well. I can often get the client to "wake up" if I rapidly press keys on my keyboard, but it doesn't always work. Minimizing the game prior to the loading screen appearing will usually circumvent the problem.

Idyllshire is the most prominent zone in which this occurs, but it also occasionally occurs in other areas, such as the Dravanian Forelands or Void Ark. It can also occur if I open another program (such as a web browser) while the game is running in windowed mode.

It's endlessly frustrating, as the DirectX 11 client brings some lovely improvements to the game graphically, but seems to contribute a lot of instability at the same time.

I've always kept my drivers up to date and verified that it's not an issue of the graphics card overheating in my system.

No similar crashes occur when using the DirectX 9 client.
