Heavensward how can SE make it better.

Please keep the put downs be kept to a minimum let this be a safe thread where all can be headed.


Lets face it people right now Heavensward is stale there's barely anything to do. First here's one of the main problems as to why.

Level cap increase.- yes people in using this as the first problem. We like getting stronger yes but new content needs to get added with the intention to mainly be to raise your level. The fact that the newly named Leveling roulette has all the new story dungeons in it this is their purpose. It took time and resources to make.

The open world.- there really is none for discipline of war and magic lets face it its really just for gathering. There's no battle content in the open world that's fun or in the lest bit exciting. I'm not even going to bother arguing with people about the Hunts I in no way consider this end game content and no one in their right mind should either you get flamed by people for killing a hunt mob unless the whole server is there.

Duty Finder.- this has to be said its awfull yes it is don't you denie it. Yes its useful putting people together to do content but it can some times breed the worse experiences in the game. I will agree it is a needed tool but i will go back to one of my points in dungeons. They take time and money to make. Every one either wants a full clear kill every mob in there for exp or a fast clear for daily's. Both these people want it done as fast as possible. Why is SE taking time puting such beautiful and detailed designs in dungeons when people just want fast clears mind as well just make every one a grey room with mobs. Have you seen how much detail is in the 2nd part of CT? Its beautiful but we just run past everything time and money from all the detail went into a speed run.

Raids.- what raids all we have are very short dungeons with a Trial like boss at the end after a short trash run. A raid is supposed to be a big big dungeon that's done with a group of people with a lot of mobs and bosses. We don't have this here. And why because of Duty Finder. Because every thing gets added to Duty Finder so it has to be balanced in a way so it can be completed by pretty much any set up.

Heres my suggestions.

Make every dungeon duty in game be part of the open world. Give us stuff to do in them have mobs drop treasure maps let people gather stuff there.

Sounds like you missed 1.0 >.>. It brought all of this.

Right now im in the process of lvling all my battle classes to 60. So far I have brd, mch, ast, blm, arc and drg at lvl 60. Atm I am working on DRK which btw is becoming one of my fave classes in the game. I enjoy knowing the ins and outs of every job because that will make me a better player in the end especially when you are a tank. Not only is it important to hold agro and take the punches to the face but its also important to know how to position bosses so the drg's and mnk's can maximize their dps.

There is a reason why SE slowly brings out more content after a huge game update so players who like to level up jobs like craft/gathering/battle can do so w/out feeling rushed or being left behind. I think you should find other things to do till 3.1 comes out. So chill out and enjoy the downtime while it lasts because 3.1 is bringing the new relics and the new 24 person raid.:cool:

While I will not deny this truth they did infact know how to make good dungeon instances look at 1.0 Cutters cry, Dark Hold, and Aurum vale. These wernt face rolls and if anything they should be an ideal example of what we need here.

If you ask me it seams to actually punish people who have no interest in crafting, gathering, or people who have no intention of playing any more than 2-3 jobs. Lets not forget the fact we jumped 50 item levels in gear before the 2nd month of the expansion also the fact they made Biz ex pointless day 1 with il 175 weapons.

#Limitations
Do you have any idea how much strain that your idea would put on the servers we have currently?

Aren't we getting open world content though. Like literally next patch?
