Obtaining Signature?

So today a friend of mine was saying how he was undercut on the market board with his 2* item. Not only that, But there person has a character on every single server and makes items on every server but when I looked them up, Not ONE even had a crafter leveled. WHO ARE YOU? Is this a GM conspiracy to keep prices even in each server?

I just find it weird and wanted to know if anyone has any insight XD

From the patch 3.0 Notes: "The message "Obtaining Signature" will now be displayed when an item's signature is unable to be read."

An item will say Obtaining Signature, if the original crafter has transfered to another server and isnt there anymore as far as i know

That's strange still... the item just showed up on the mb a few hours ago. Strange that it would say it. But thanks guys! *still thinks it's a conspiracy*

It could also be an item from another server, brought to your server by a transfer.
This way he can resell the items for gil and would not be capped by the 1 mil gil transfer limit.

After each maintenance, everyone's search status is reset and they show up as Obtaining Signature (or simply a blank space prior to the patch that changed it to Obtaining Signature) until they log in again. This reset also applies to your levels in your Search Info, and people who have not logged in since the last maintenance will have their job's listed as not unlocked underneath each class ( the "-" instead of a level for a given Job).
