Your 4k Monitor Recommendation Please

Looking to buy 4k monitor very soon. Have some considerations:

1. No input Lag
2. Fast Response Time
3. Colors be accurate (not just black but grey , blue, red , green as well)
4. Do not care about usb hub or speakers built in.

Price is of some importance but anything from 350 to 1000 is in the right ball park.

IPS, is it the best of the panel types to aim for or is there something better?

Matte or Glossy? I have had both and find the glossy to be brighter but also reflect more ambient light and make things sometimes harder to see in brighter rooms.

I looked forward to your suggestions.

It is matte, but I get pretty good colors from it. Generally though, I'm using another display for gaming and the 4k display for everything else, like a browser, some chat programs, videos/guides/recipes/etc.

1ms Response is damn fast imo. How is it on input lag? So far it's looking to be one nice monitor.

I went for the Asus PB287Q as well. Great monitor. If ending up buying it, remember to go to the settings on the screen and up the Display Port settings.

Well it's quite hard when deciding on a good 4k monitor. You will probably need to spend upwards of $500 to get something that is 5ms or lower, IPS, good viewing angles, with true 4k I.E 4096 x 2160 instead of 3840 X 2160. I definitely wouldn't recommend the ROG 4k monitors. They have very very bad production quality and you'd be lucky not to get one with something DOA...unfortunate too since i've heard that it is one of the best monitors out there...when it works.

If you need help on deciding i would recommend you to linus tech tips on youtube. He deals with 4k a lot and has a very good eye on what consitutes a good 4k monitor, even with his recommendation though i'd still look at user reviews for any DOA issues as 4k monitors are not nearly close to perfection yet.
