Silly question: Does Alphinaud and Alisae possess the echo

It's been a while, and I don't remember.

No, they don't. Outside of the WoL, Ysayle I believe is the only other individual who was confirmed to have it. I read some of the other Scions did, but nothing confirmed.

I don't believe so, no. At least not Alphinaud.

Ysayle, Warrior of Light and Minfilia also definitely has the Echo.

As far as confirmed Echo users, no, neither Alphinaud nor Alisae possesses it. The player, Minfilia, and Ysayle were the only named characters so far that we know of. That being said, some of the other pre-Garlean invasion Scion members had the echo as well, as the point of the Scions was to grow their ranks with members of similar abilities. That's part of the reason you were recruited, and part of the reason Minfilia started the Path of the Twelve to begin with (which was merged with the Sharlayan gang after the Calamity).

Sadly, many of them were killed by Livia and her lot. Some survived and we can assume that some of them have the Echo, we just don't know who or what since they are unnamed background NPCs at this point.

As far as we know, no. The only people we know for sure to have the Echo is ourselves, Minfilia, and Ysayle. (And the Ascians, of course.)

Alphinaud hangs back from our confrontation with Ravana specifically because he lacks the Echo.

Actually, Arenvald that's still in the waking sands is an Echo user and survivor of the Garlean massacre in 2.0

I suspect Midfgardsormr and the First Brood also have the Echo.

And yet... He, and his sister, came face to face with Bahamut and Phoenix... Cid and Alphinaud also got pretty close to Garuda, too... Heck, Alphinaud, Cid, Biggs and Wedge were all on the Enterprise during our confrontation with Bismark... The more I think about that fight actually, the less it makes sense... I guess Bismark is just stupid, because I'd certainly have nom'd the poorly defended Airship first, or started ramming from the side the cannons aren't pointing, or just come up the rear (giggity).

I guess Primals don't know about the Echo until it interferes with their plans though, and at this point they just see us and figure Tempering wont work, even if it would on the handful of allies we're dragging behind us...

The Echo does not manifest equally on all subjects.
