What exactly are you expecting them to tell you about a vote kick enquire? You don't get updates on the status of another players account, that's standard privacy in a lot of companies and industries - as it should be.
I've received nothing but acceptable to awesome customer service every time I've needed help.
Pretty much.
I'm more amazed that OP is livid to the point of calling customer service over a vote kick because...he might have missed a rare item drop. Are you for real? What exactly do you expect SE to do about it? Ban the players responsible? Award you the item from that run out of pity? Maybe they should be flogged and keel-hauled for good measure? I mean it sucks, no question there, but best to take your lumps and move on. Or if this happens *often*, maybe the problem isn't other players, just saying.
1) As was already said you don't get info about the state of another person's account. In addition to that, it's confirmed that "Difference in playstyle" is a VALID kick reason, and technically anything can fall under this definition. Thus there are no actual "false kicks", if the team decides they don't want to play with you, it's their right to do so.
2) I am yet to come across a bug that would cause anything similar that you describe, and I've been playing (on and off, but still) since 2.0 open beta.
I've gotten a pretty quick GM response when I reported someone for abusing the votekick mechanic.
Maybe It's just you, OP.
It's the nature of just about every on-line customer service system. You will get a scripted response to any issue or query. Because the GM system in this game is NOT a chat, you have no means of moving the issue along once they send the canned response.
This is customer service in the age of the internet.
I have been playing since 2.0 release and I have only been vote kicked 1 time and it was 100% my fault. My question to you is what are you doing to keep getting vote kicked?
